The timing in this video is incredible, first we get the turbo on the chorus, but we also get the choppers swooping in with "DON"T LOOK DOWN", hot damn!

Spark 3 gets the momentum right this feels too much like recent Sonic games and not enough like classic momentum based Sonic.

Ughh... this gave me such hard time on my first playthrough

None of the enemies matter, take them out and nothing changes. You had one interaction with an enemy, they should matter a little bit than that. However, the level design is interesting and allows you to focus on speed or accuracy in your movements. Really fun to play around with.

I love everything except the rails, and tbh that's on the Sonic genre as a whole. I think the last time rails were done right in a Sonic game was in the Adventure ones, even though tilting towards the sides made you fall off, it at least provided some interactivity beyond jump to the left rail or the right rail, and more importantly, speed had a much bigger impact when you boarded them. It just looks really strange to me to have no speed, jump in place and touch a rail, and then you slide along it with a determined speed, as in... where did this speed come from? Anyway. Lovely game.

The first stage looks very "Sonic Forces" if it were less linear and automated. Looks great. Though my one criticism from what I've seen is that it is "just another" fast platformer as opposed to doing anything the others don't already do. Not saying "It's not 10/10 therefore it's bad" like people do with Sonic for some reason, but I just think it doesn't stand out in any way despite how great this game is.

This is better than all the Sonic games.
